Route #1: 

Head over to Marsiling MRT Station [NS8] (Red Line/North-South Line). 

From there, cross the road to take Bus No.856 or 950, which take you to Woodlands Train Checkpoint bus station.

Go to Kranji MRT Station [NS7] (Red Line/North-South Line).

Then, take Bus No. 911, 178, or 903, which brings you to Woodlands Train Checkpoint bus station.

Once you arrive, you can get your tickets checked and go through both Singapore immigration and Malaysia immigration at Woodlands Train Checkpoint. They will check your bags via a scanning machine.

After they check your bags and tickets, you can hop on the train and choose your seat. If the train is crowded, you might need to stand.

Step 4: Ride the ferry From Singapore To Malaysia

You have two options to choose from: to ride a ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore to Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal or Tanjung Pengelih Ferry Terminal.

There’s a shuttle bus that will take you to Desaru Coast from Tanjung Pengelih Ferry Terminal in 35 minutes or less.

Once you’ve cleared immigration, you can ride any bus that goes to JB Checkpoint.

However, if you choose to pay the full fare when heading to Woodlands Checkpoint, you can board the same bus you came with (applies to Transtar Bus or Causeway Link Bus).

Step 4: Check your passports at JB Checkpoints & you’re done!

Then, before entering Malaysia, your passports need to be checked. You may simply enter the electronic gate (e-gate) system without going through the manual process.

But for first-timers, you still need to queue up to get your passport stamped manually.

If it’s your first time, you need to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) form.

Then, queue up and get your passport stamp manually. After that, you can enter the e-gate without the manual stamp for your next trip.

When you travel by bus to JB Checkpoint, you can expect for the journey to be around 1 hour during non-peak periods to 4 hours during peak periods.

After clearing immigration at the Woodlands Checkpoint, you need to continue your journey towards the JB Checkpoint.

Step 4: Go through passport checks at JB Checkpoint

Then, at JB Checkpoint, you’re required to check your passports. You can skip the queue to get your passport manually stamped if you already filled up the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) form.

Step 5: Ride The Coach & Head Towards Your Destination

After you clear immigration, you can ride the coach and head towards your destination in Malaysia!
